After 36 +/- years I finished my Winged Liberty Dimes, sans varieties... -

in tonight's Heritage World Auction. My thanks to Andy (Mr Eureka) Lustig, who got both coins for less than my high bids. The gold piece will hopefully have no trouble getting back into the Eliasberg holder it belongs in. How did everyone else do? Gary -

Mostly that it's very rare, with only 2-3 known. It's a wonderful design and almost impossible to find. It's also needed for a date set of 2S, which I would like to build. 4 coins total, I have 1 of them :D -

1825/4/2 B-1 Bust Quarter
The newest addition to my bust quarter collection arrived today: an 1825/4/2 Browning-1. The B-1 is by far the rarest die marriage for this date (out of three die marriages total), and is listed in the Redbook as “1825/2” (in other words, it has the Redbook variety appeal going for it). Two reasons. First is grading type 1 and type 2 SLQ is different. Second is that the second quarter has more meat on it. -
$2 1/2 Indian counterfeit
How would you tell this is fake? The store dealer I bought it from thought it was ok and priced it as an MS63.
