Re: pssst...buddy, can you spare a 2 Franc?

grading was pretty strict in those days, anyone think i can pull an MS68 out of a re-submission?: I'd need a much better image to even come close to a guess on the grading issue. 68: 1. Blasty, blinding luster, and I mean blinding. 2. Maybe one mark in the fields - - no light scrapes/abrasions possible 3. absolutely fully… -

Recently learned of the registry set made specifically for the 2-feather buffalo nickel variety. Newp. 1942 Type 2 Proof War Nickel

I like relatively inexpensive coins that give you a lot of bang for your buck. Historically and numismatcally (sp?). War Nickels fit the bill. Especially the unique 1942 Proof. The low hanging fruit facts: 27,600 reported mintage. The only War Nickel Proof. The first time the mintmark letter P was used. The silver content… -

1824/2 Capped Bust Dime - PCGS Graffiti G Details

Hi, up for sale is an 1824/2 capped bust dime graded by PCGS as G Detail, graffiti. This is a nice coin with the over date clearly visible. The coin has nice original medium toning. There are some scratches (graffiti) on the obverse, and on the reverse, there are two cuts (see last pic) that PCGS called graffiti. Under… -

Re: Well, apparently the 1825/2 B-1 Quarter is no longer a "major" variety...

I am sure that it is my fault...as I made the case that there is really no 25/2, 25/3 or 25/3...they are all 25/4/2's. The B-1 (formerly known as 25/2) is indeed much rarer than the B-2 or B-3 (which share an obverse). Since my book came out PCGS has changed how they list the 1825's in the price guide as well. Sorry!
