Re: magic got #1 pick!
okafor is like Ben Wallace with more scoring ability. He can play center in the East 100%. Sure he may not be a 7 footer but the guy can play. They just have to check out his back...if it's good I'd take him with the #1 no sweat. But just think...if this guy was in the draft last year he probably would have went 6th… -
Re: Gold and Silver open strong overseas tonight
q]Metals aren't really going up - the purchase power of our salaries and savings are going down. >> I assume you think your flat money is where it's at.......PM's have just started it's a long race, come back in let's say 2009/2010 and you guy will be saying the same thing with Gold over a grand and the dollar worth… -
Re: Gold at $325 per ounce
i find this quite ironic to the point of bordering on humorous. as it climbed to $370/ounce, everyone clamored to buy it and the talk was that when war broke out in Iraq the price would sky-rocket and soon be over $450/ounce. i wondered then as i wonder now why on earth everyone buys gold when the price is high and… -
Re: PCGS pop tables, when do they become obsolete?
Hmmm... PM's with Roadrunner caused me to check Bower's estimate of the two dates in question. In circ grades (VF to AU), Bowers estimates 750 to 1250 specimens extant for the 1859-S, and only 260 to 500 for the 1873. In his book, Bowers also says that many 1873 specimens were melted. I realize that we were talking about… -

Re: Grade The Buffalos (Grades Revealed) There will Be A Very Unique Outcome
The back side of each coin is shown below I bought a small deal of 4 PCGS Slabs taht turned out to be counterfeit. 2 were the Buffalos that were part of this thread, and 2 were Peace Dollars (which were real coins but way overgraded 22-D in 65 that was a 63, and a 260S that was at best a 64). Thanks to Lee Sanders of… -

Re: A warning regarding gold.......
<< <i>Linky.... >> I would have thought you to know better. This article is not only stupid but gave me cramps. I hate to read these stupid articles by morons that just woke up yesterday and realized that gold wasn't just something to fill their teeth or to be bling around your neck. Witness MSNBC and their awakening the… -

Looking for a few more Prizm silvers to complete my set. Please let me know what you have and what you are asking delivered. Looking for raw and decently centered. Thanks! Re: Another unidentified ancient roman coin
I agree with the attribution as an antoninianus (a modern term applied to silver coins likely valued at two denarii), but am thinking different on the emperor. Production of the antoninianus was suspended c. 219 AD, and not revived until the revolt of Balbinus and Pupienus against Maximinus I in 238 AD. Also, not enough…
