I am in the same boat. The best way to sell is privately for cash, especially if you have high dollar items. Most auction houses are going to have to keep all the proper paperwork in order to report their income and will then send you tax statements. What kind of sets do you have? Baseball, football?? Are they published on the registry? If I have a little more info then maybe I can give you some specific advice. Dean
