Nope, I am a real numismatist. I previously owned SMCCoins LLC and began publishing coin books in 2010. I am a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA), and the ANA recently published my latest article in The Numismatist. I understand why people are skeptical.
Since 2024, over 200 low-quality scam coin guides have flooded Amazon. In 2023, I was among only a handful of legitimate authors publishing in this category. All 77 error types presented in my books are accurate. I verified each one using err-ref.com and asking questions with my X numismatic contacts.
Many of the photographs in my books are of coins I personally purchased at auction. My goal is to provide accurate photos, clear descriptions of error types, and realistic price ranges based on auction records I have tracked since 2009.
I welcome constructive questions and specific examples if anyone believes something in my work may be incorrect. However, I do not appreciate baseless challenges made simply for the sake of questioning. Unfortunately, many people today present themselves as experts when they are not.
