Hi everyone, I'm new to the group but have been an avid collector/dealer in the hobby for 30+ years now. I was reading a few threads on the 1986 Fleer basketball issue and it really intrigued me. A lot of discussion about how many cases actually exit today?. I'm from Canton Ohio and I think a lot of boxes may still exit unopened because I was witness to (6) unopened boxes in 2003. The owner being an 82 year old man, also from Canton Ohio. I bought a very large 1933/1934 Goudey baseball card collection from this man, then sold it a few months later to Al "Mr Mint" Rosen, as you can see from my picture. Now it was either buy 500+ Goudeys which included 3 Ruth's, 2 Gehrig's, 6 Jimmie Foxx, well you get the picture, or the 6 unopened boxes of 1986 Fleer basketball? I was torn and only had my then girlfriend with me to consult with, who knew nothing about cards. I like to think I made the right decision back then, but who knows. I can say I did see half a case of Jordan RC Bliss. Thoughts?
