I've been a collector of Confederate notes mostly due to the beautiful artwork and large variety available, silver certificates and coins since age 7-8. Unfortunately I've had my collections stolen twice and had to sell my last one due to financial hardship.
About 5 years ago my wife and I began searching through a bag of 5000 wheat cents and became particularly interested in errors and varieties of the wheaties and LMCs. From the wheat bag we found a very rare 1925 s that looked like someone wrote on it with ink but upon close inspection and a lot of help from members of Coin Community it was determined to be several dropped letters on the reverse spelling "United States of" if I remember correctly and was examined and determined as authentic by Mike Diamond, an expert numismatist in errors and varieties. Since then been very busy hunting and having fun.
