The 1960 is listed at AUD1850 and the 1961 at AUD1800 in the latest McDonald's Australian Coins and Banknotes Catalogue. They will only fetch anything near this price if they are full red, with no spots, and no fingerprints. Coins in this condition are rare in the extreme. A typical raw dealer graded FDC proof penny from these years would get a PR64-66RD from PCGS. Exceptional coins get a 67 or 68. RB coins will be lucky to get 20-25% of CV. Brown coins 10% of CV.
Successful trades with Syracusian, DeiGratia, LordM, WWW, theboz11, CCC2010, Hyperion, ajaan, wybrit, Dennis88 and many others.
  • I own a couple of MS70 Australian Kookaburas and a MS70 Australian Koala. Both graded by ANACS. I have looked up some information on international coin prices here: http://www.ngccoin.com/poplookup/World-Coin-Price-Guide.aspx It has some prices on various international coins. Its sort of limited, but its worth taking a look.
