Nope, NGC slabs ancients and ive seen ANACS & ICG also.

I heard somewhere that they wouldn't grade anything pre-1600, but then I saw a few earlier examples in PCGS plastic.

I sent them an inquiry a year or two back that was never answered.

Yes, that is a real slab. They did do a limited number of slabs of Shekels of Tyre several years back. I think it was for one individual person/company, but I'm not entirely sure. I've had a couple of those PCGS slabbed shekels over the years.
