    I am NOT AN EXPERT.

    However, I have owned several Ripken autos over the years and the Ripken looks wrong to me.

    Even though I collect Cal, I don't consider myself an expert AT ALL on his sig. That said, in my opinion I'd say this auto is no good. The "a" and the "R" looks off, and there are no "dots" above the "i" and after the "J".

    That sig looks wrong to me. Being that i live 40 minutes from baltimore, i have seen a lot of ripken sigs, and something about this one just doesnt look right. His signature is usually very consistent and smooth each time he signs. If i were you, i would not trust this one.

    Cal is one of the best signers in the game ever - even after hours of signing and that just looks like it tried to be too perfect but yet it looks incomplete and not natural. I wouldnt go for it.

    not that it had anything to do with my thought process in determing it is a legitimate signature, but if someone is going to forge a Cal Ripken Jr. autograph (which many people have tried), I don't think they would do it on a Carolina League ball....

    Their is a team in the Carolina League from Myrtle Beach, SC and Cal does spend some considerable time down there as he owns a youth baseball complex there...

    100% real deal signature

    That's what I was thinking (and why I showed the ball.) It just looks rushed to me is all.

    That Ripken is spot on. Looks exactly like the one my son got IP around 2003 I believe. Nothing about it would concern me at all.

    I was hoping IMF would lend his input... if he says he thinks it's real, then I would trust him. He's seen more Ripken autos than PSA has.
