New Project - Baseball 1950s style.

I have decided to embark on a new project that will ultimately be a "display" for my raw cards. My daughter is older now and the threat of little hands getting into where they shouldnt is past me now.
My idea is inspired by the book "Smithsonian Baseball" by Stephen Wong. I love the photos in the book where he had cards inside the Cracker Jack boxes, or packs of cards on the store counter next to the gumballs as if they were being purchased. So, I have been thinking of how I could display my cards in a similar nostalgic fashion. Heres my plan...
I am going to purchase an antique cabinet radio circa early 1950s. I want one in nice shape so this could be the hardest part of the project. It must be all original parts with no modifications or restorations. Im going to copy an old 50s world series broadcast to my ipod and hide it behind or inside the antique radio, and play it on a loop. On top of the radio, I was thinking of an antique bankers lamp shining light down on the piles of 1950s Topps Baseball cards. I will display my HOFers individually on the top of the cabinet. I will also buy a low grade lot of 50s cards that I will rubber band and place on display next to some older wrappers and maybe an old ticket stub. Maybe do a couple of old photos and prop them up against an old Kodak camera. I have endless ideas for this, but limited space.
In the end, I want it all to be true to the time period, and aesthetically pleasing. I will post pics as I make head way towards completion.

Looking forward to seeing it come to fruition
IMF, that would be fantastic! I would proudly display that ticket. Thanks so much!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
