Anyone ever use a 10x usb microscope?

  Looks interesting, but I am suspicious of the quality it could provide vs. a decent loupe.

  Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I still do not understand the appeal of 10x loupes, microscopes, lighted magnifiers and the like. I've been grading and/or subbing hundreds (yes hundreds) of thousands of cards for more than a decade and consider myself to be relatively proficient at the process. That being said, the number of times I've picked up my loupe to examine a card for grading is virtually nil (usually, I only use it to determine a potential alteration or identify some anomaly). If you know what you're looking for, how to look for it and what to avoid, there really is no need for any accessories other than perhaps a pair of 1.5 reading glasses that will provide a slight bit more magnification.

  I have a microscope for many uses outside of cards.
  
  I like the scope or the 10X to get a good look at the print - one can immediately tell if something that should be chromolithograph is actually modern print dots - would make all the difference on an old advertising piece - e.g.
