Choosing a pack for grading vs ripping.

I'm sitting here looking at the two packs in bought in nendee's 1973 wax box break (the Probstein box) and I'm deciding which to rip and which to sub.
My dilemma is this: the backs look very different in terms of folds, and I'm trying to decide which folds look the best from a grading perspective, if that even really matters. The one on the left has the much nicer folds, but I don't clear roller marks. The one on the right DOES have clearer marks, but the folds and residual crud are worse.

If you are going to open one and grade the other then I vote that you grade the one on the left and rip the one on the right.
I'd rather have a cleaner pack as the graded one, and the one on the right is not as nice on the back.
That being said, are you sure you want to open either of these packs? I am certainly aware of the nostalgic "thrill" of opening
older packs, but as I recall this box was not from a series that contained any major stars. Might you not be better off having
both packs slabbed, especially if the fronts are different?
BTW, I still haven't ripped any of the 1976 packs that came from the mass rip (#6 I believe). When they came in I discovered
that they were wrapped with left-over 1974 wrappers which are much less common. There is always a bit of a temptation
with them, but so far I haven't "lost it" enough to lose control.

I hadn't thought of that aspect - not much star power showed up at all, did it?
