Met Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Sting at the TNA Show last night in Orlando!!!

image

Here a pic of my twin brother Bill with the Hulkster. I was getting Sting to sign his rookie card when Bill got Hogan's attention and then I took this pic of them. We got a pic taken of all three of us but it did not come out right on the camera phone which was a disappointment. Hogan is so huge in person and was super cool. I told him I bought 9 autographs from him through the American Icon signing and he said "thanks brother I appreciate that".

When we first got backstage I had to run to the restroom and I was walking out Nature Boy Ric Flair was walking in. I waited for him to come back out and asked if he would sign a card for me. I did not come fully prepared and just grabbed a Flair card and a Sting rookie just in case. Here is the Flair auto which is sweet as the Carnation Wrestling is his most rare card. I had Bill take a photo as we sat ringside.

My computer that is hooked up to my scanner has a virus and when it is up and running again I will scan the 1988 Wonderama Sting signed rookie. He was a real class act.

Nice!! I think it would be cool to have him sign a 24-inch-long rubber snake (python). image

Bill and I were loosing our minds last night. Meeting Hogan and Flair in the same night was about as cool as it gets for me.

  • Nice, I work at Universal and still have not made it over to see TNA.

  • Very cool story, great pics as well. I get to Orlando 5/6 times a year and have yet to make it to a TNA event. Someday...

They are a lot of fun. We hammer down Tall boy Heineken's and sit in the front row. TNA is not PG like WWE so it is pretty entertaining.

  • Love that '86 Flair card. Very nice.

We need some reports and pictures from your next visit to Hulk Hogan's Micro Championship Wrestling!

I can't decide if Blixx is an a-hole or an alright dude.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

I watched the first episode and then lost track. I am not a huge fan of the little people wrestling.

I can see though how some would find it very entertaining and funny to watch.

I have seen 3-4 episodes. Mostly curious to see if the association with Hogan can lend enough star power to make it a success. Watching their lives outside the ring has been more entertaining than the midget wrestling.

Yeah they are crazy. You would have to be to give it your 100% to be a micro championship wrestler.

There was actually some guys that worked big shows back in the day that were little people. There was a match with King Kong Bundy and Hillbilly Jim I remember where Bundy flattens Little Beaver or one of those guys and his teammates bail on him and try and help their fellow little person. It was pretty funny.

  • Congradulations on meeting 3 icons of wrestling. Great picture with the Hulkster.

The shows are taped at the sound stage at Universal. There is generally no charge to get in but is on a first come basis for the general seating area. The seats we sit in are the VIP section which is either give away's to friends of Universal workers or the fans who buy the VIP weekend packages that give them entrance to the taping's and the meet and great events. I may one day buy one of those packages as this last one had Flair, Hogan and Sting signing autographs.

The shows are a great time especially after you work on catching a buzz.

Back when I was in middle school Koko B. Ware came in to talk to kids about saying no to drugs. I was able to get his auto on my Trapper Keeper next to a giant Ferrari sticker. I also got to touch Frankie which was pretty cool, he even repeated "nice to meet you" after Koko said it. Not sure if I still have the Trapper Keeper, but if I could dig it up do you know what something like that would bring?

    Sounds like a true story.

I am guessing you could get $31.9 million for the folder.
