Cuban Currency- Legal to import?

Does anyone know if the embargo applies to currency? There are some Cuban banknotes I want to buy from a European dealer, but I can't find any information on wehter or not this would be legal.

    Technically speaking illegal to import, but enforcement on stuff like a few collectable coins or banknotes is practically non-existent - particularly if you are having them sent from a third country.
