Getting these 1982 Wrestling All Stars Hulk Hogan's signed.....Updated with Scans

There is an up coming signing Mike Navarro alerted me to with Hulk Hogan. I have always thought some high grade example of Hogan's rookie card would be awesome.

I cracked out all 4 of the BGS graded Hulk Hogan rookies I had and these are being submitted to get signed and then PSA/DNA authenticated.

Cracking these out was a little scary due to the card but I used my method of wire cutters and a long flat head screw driver.

I got really lucky on the final and nicest Hogan. I cut it and it split. Was really nervous and the best outcome of all.

Here are the scans with the group and then individual.

Great cards. Will look awesome signed. I recommend getting them done in blue Staedtler medium point marker. It will really stand out on those.

They are charging $79.99 and then the PSA/DNA show fee.

When I spoke with Sean I asked him whitch color sharpie they would be using and he said blue.

I think these are going to turn out very cool. I am excited about this.

When his daughter's CD came out, both were at the Mall of America and I think he signed one thing for every CD you bought (and she would sign it). That was a pretty good deal but never went for it.

WOW! I saw the $80 price and gave it a thought, then 3 minutes ago I went on eBay to look for a card...holy lord! those things are expensive!!

I am getting these two signed as well.

If these two ever surface in high grade they will be very expensive. These are the 1985 WWF Series I O-Pee-Chee Hogan #1 and #16.

I have only seen three of these in the past two and a half years.

I have two that will hopefully be signed tomorrow at a casino event in Wisconsin. If they don't get signed there, they'll be going to this signing as well. Much cheaper than the price when he signs at Steiner.

Mike your first card has the best top to bottom centering I have ever seen at first glance on a Hogan!

    That has fantastic eye appeal!

Yeah, the top one is great. Just has some print defect in the bottom black line (slight smear of the black) underneath his name.

The 2nd one has a small crease to the lower left of his face.

I just got the email from my friend out in CA who has been helping with getting the Hogan's signed. It has been a long process but they are finally done and I will have them back later this week. Here are the scans.

you didn't want them graded as well?
  • Dpeck100Dpeck100 Posts: 10,912 ✭✭✭✭✭
The guy who helped said this would be faster and easier. Once I get them back and I see how they faired condition wise I will send a few back and get them graded if they still look razor sharp.

This has been over 4 months in the making so I am just anxious to have these in hand.

One time several years back I was at a Kenny Rogers Roasters and who should walk in? None other than Michael P.S. Hayes! Obviously I recognized him right away and he was nice enough to sign my soda cup. What would something like that go for?
  • Dpeck100Dpeck100 Posts: 10,912 ✭✭✭✭✭
Michael PS Hayes was awesome. I bet he is a lot of fun to have some drinks with and listen to his road stories.

  • Man I need to pick me up one of those Hogans. Those things are awesome.

FWIW, Kenny Rogers makes the best chicken around.
I'd think that would add a premium to the signed cup
