I sold my 1984 Topps Tiffany Dwight Gooden PSA 9 a few months back on EBAY for $75 to someone in Japan. I got a bunch of offers in the $25 to $30 range and just kept saying no.
I would think to the right buyer you could get more then $50 and maybe as much as $100.
There are 34 in a PSA 9 and 28 in a PSA 10. It looks like a card that only gets subbed when it is really solid.
Yup, t'was the tiffany. The version most people seek when buying Strawberry is the 83 Topps traded. Though never available in a Tiffany version the card itself is very attractive color wise.
I have seen a number of the 83 Topps Traded 10's going for $175+. That is a great looking card.
Sean I would just throw it up on EBAY at a Buy it Now of $75 and you will get some offers. There are tons of buyers who don't use VCP and when they don't see any recent EBAY sales they have no real pricing to base their offer on. There are plenty of people that look at a cool card and say I would spend $50 on that. With the low supply of Tiffany cards available you have a much better shot of a wide price spread.
If one person thought it was worth $50 I bet you can find another in the EBAY world who does too.

Every other rookie card in any grade can be found except this one.

Yeah, I did too or I wouldn't be asking for vcp!
I don't subscribe to that service and was just chiming in that it is a tough card.
I am sure someone will come to the rescue for you soon.

Thanks, I didn't realize it was so difficult I had someone offer me $50 at a show for it and almost took it. I'm glad I didn't now.
One sold on 4/20/11 for $12 and one sold on 6/3/10 for $11.55. I'd take the $50 bucks.

Wow I guess I should have taken the $50, I thought it was alot more expensive. That is the tiffany one correct?
<< <i>Yes, that is the Tiffany. The Tiffany in PSA 9 only sells for a couple dollars more than regular '84 Topps... >>
Cool, now I know, not that expensive of a lesson.
