Dear friends,
I am from India and a fresher on this site.
I normally collect old coins and bank notes from India and also a set of each coin and currency notes from various countries. I had the opportunity to tour round the world and wherever I went I made it a point to take with me a set of current coins and a small denomination bank note with me.
I am here to learn more and share my experiences, and also for exchanging coins and bank notes.

Say, I don't suppose you could help me find some 1901 British India pieces, could you? I'm building a 1901 British Empire type set and lack the India 1/2-pice and the 1/4-rupee from that year. I could also use upgrades to some of the other 1901 pieces I have.
Here are a couple. They're not fantastic examples, but oh well. I like how India kept using the young head of Victoria right up to the final year of her life. It makes a nice contrast with the old-head issues from Britain, and the sort of intermediate-head issues from Canada and the Straits Settlements and places like that.

I have about 10 or so more different ones. some with counter stamps. they belong to a friend in Germany who had them sent to me until he picks them up.
he has an endless collection and keeps on buying.
