Wow is right. He should be able to get behind the wheel of a nice Italian exotic car by the time he is done selling those pieces.

I haven't bought from this dealer yet but he does have some fantastic coins.

He advertises in Coin News and will have a table at London's Coinex.

Awesome stuff. Puts what I've collected to shame.
    Former owner, Cambridge Gate collection.
  • I 've done multiple transactions with George. He is an upstanding fellow to do business with!
Lurker since '02. Got the seven year itch!

  • Yes saw his table at Coinex. He pushing the boundaries a bit on the pieces I recognise. The Proof Crown 377A, there was another in the room with an asking price of £4500 and the last three I know of that went to action in the couple of years only reached £1900-2200. That makes £6000 out there with the fairies. And the 1935 raised edge proof, you are doing well if you can make £450.

That's George Kountouridis, a Greek dealer established in London for years. He has good stuff, but often overpriced, as can be now seen with a silver phoenix that he has for sale. Good stuff, nice guy, but with his steep prices,it's no wonder that theboz shared it with us. image

Nice stuff! Funny part is my husband, who is less than interested in coins usually, had stumbled across this one and had called me over to look at it. (My hubby graduated from the College of William & Mary which is how he found it I guess). Very beautiful, but too much for me...
