Anyone on forums bidding on the Hungary Eliasberg 9 Ducat Proof...?

Anyone bidding on this great coin? 9 Ducat Proof

I've been doing some digging on the prices and it looks like they've been selling far over estimates. A PR61 sold for 4x it's estimated 3-4000 and another sold for much more (3.5x or so).

There is only one other bidder and I'm curious if he's on the forums.

Oh, yeah. I'm gonna bid on that one. So what if its current price is more than the value of both of our vehicles put together, or more than the value of the decrepit mobile home we live in. I told my wife I'd be bidding. She said I shouldn't worry about how we're going to pay the medical bills and fix the leak that's rotting out the bathroom floor. She said I should have nice things in my life.

    So yeah, I'm gonna bid.

How long d'you suppose they'll hold my check?

Did my last post come out as bitter?

I was only aiming for sarcastic. Might've overshot the mark a tad. image

But high-rollers beware, when discussing some things flippantly, lest ye alienate us peasantry! Funny how IloiloKano mentioned "blood in the streets". Made me think of Bastille Day and "let them eat cake" and all that.

I suppose this frame of mind was brought about by my recent brutal weekend as a night clerk in an upscale resort, dealing with spoiled, whiny, abusive rich EOs* all night long while running a 196-room property with the help of one security officer and nobody else.

    * "EO" is a new term I invented for use at work. See the boldface phrase at the bottom of post #1 here for explanation.

Not at all, I just didn't have time to reply as the satellite connection from my yacht must have gone down.

Did this just sell for $30,000?

No. That would have been way too much. It only went for $29,900.
