I think that Charlton is, by far, the most popular, and they add a large variety section of a different denomination every year to make it a keeper. The 2012 will be dollars .. .the 2011 was Victoria Large Cents. The Haxby annual guide is also a good one, but Jim Haxby hasn't been a part of that for many years. Only the name is the same. Dr Haxby IS involved in the new Whitman due out next year, but who knows what it will look like. We'll see once it hits the street. For most normal collectors, the current Haxby guide is the best, since it has both some tokens and paper money in it .. .the Charlton guide requires a separate book for each. As long as the RCM keeps spewing out their grandma bait crap, any guide that includes that stuff in with the circulating coinage is worthless, since more than half the pages are wasted on that tripe.
