do partial sets sell??? three to ebay at reduced price

I have a number of partial sets from the late 70's thru the 80's and also the junk early 90's. Some are missing only a few cards (1-10 or so) and some are missing less than 50 to make them complete. Question is do these type of sets sell at card shows at reduced prices??? thinking of setting up again after being away from shows for more than 4 years.....any thoughts?

thanks

al.

There is some interest in them. Might not be worth lugging that many to a show and using table spade, but there is some interest in them.

thanks Mark, haven't done a show in awhile and not sure what the climate is like now a days.....I may just put an ad on Craigs list and in my local paper and have a garage sale and see what happens........if not I may just haul them to one show and see what happens. I used to do the monthly Canton show until my kids got older and go involved in sports and now I really don't have that much extra time to deal with the cards.....will have to try and do it this month or next before my son's high school basketball season starts.....

What sets? Are they mssing stars or rookies? What condition are the sets in?

some of the sets are missing the key rookies but have many of the other stars in them. for example I have mutiples of 1983 which were made from packs and racks which are missing the three key rookies but have the other stars in them, the late 70's are probably ex to ex-mt with some of the cards better and like it is always said, some are lesser....the 80's for the most part are NM-MT.....I also have lots of many of the years.....thing to remember for these sets is that I cannot mail them.....the cost of mailing makes it not worthwhile. I'm located near Cleveland Ohio and if anyone wants to stop by and take a look that can be arranged.......I'm in the process of blowing out most of these to make room in my basement. I'll post a list later to give folks a better idea of what I mean by "partial sets". al.

Barry ... considering the OP stated "I have a number of partial sets from the late70's thru the 80's, my guess is nothing! LOL

if any interest in the two 1977 sets together in a deal, I can let you have them both for $40 delivered...now I know that they won't be producing any gem mint PSA 10's but you'll get two partial sets that may have some value to you for a low price....first to PM me can have the two sets, otherwise I'll be putting them out at my garage sale for $15 each..........thanks

THE TWO 1977 PARTIAL SETS HAVE SOLD AND SALE IS PENDING ON THE 1976 PARTIAL SET. THANKS EVERYONE WHO ASKED.......

I would call the two 78 sets ex to ex/mt with some nm and better and the 79 nm overall with many nm/mt possible. here are the numbers missing from each year and some scans: If interested I'd like to get $140 for all three, shipping included....let me know before I offer on ebay.....scans for the 1978's are all from the first set, they two sets are in similar condition. thanks, al.
