1987 and 1989 Tops baseball complete sets

I just found these sets (along with 1991-92 Upper Deck hockey set) in a closet in my house. Is there anything in any of these sets worth picking out or are they more valuable as a set? Thanks in advance!

Sadly, the most valuable card in 1989 topps might be the Randy Johnson rookie -- worth about 75¢

You can always save until winter and use them to start a fire.

They're fun to look through on a cold winter night or on an off day. Get to see the old uniforms and old names from the 80s.

They are not worth anything unless you want to get one, then they have value.

Your sets are worth 10.00 each, if someone wants one.

    Good for you.

    Not true.

Check out card #665 Tony Oliva Turn Back The Clock. If it is missing it's copyright line on back, it's a $15-30 card. If it has a "blacked-out" copyright, it will likely sell for much more.

    As for 1987 Topps...

Check out card #4 Davey Lopes RB. If it has a 1985 copyright line on back, it will likely sell for upwards of $30, possibly much more.

Take a look at all of the Turn Back The Clock Subset cards. Those with yellow dates on front (instead of white) sell for $10-20 a piece.

    Good Luck!

tonight, when I get home, I'm going through my 5,000 ct box of 1989 topps!

I've got many, many boxes of these loose and as sets. Man, I loved the '89 Topps set. Between Gregg Jefferies, Jose Canseco, and Gary Sheffield, I thought I wouldn't have to work a day in my life and could retire with the sale of those.

    Me and 20,000,000 other collectors!

When this question was first asked I thought of the variations that you have uncovered.
