5 Day sub on day 6 - raise a stink?

So I had an order subbed on the 5 day special that logged on 5/24. Excluding that day and Memorial Day, today is now day 6. It was only a 4 card order. Another member just had 10 Day sub results pop yesterday, and he had 20 cards that logged the same day. Should I raise a stink about this or not? Thoughts appreciated - normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but when you pay a premium for quick turnaround I feel it should be met.

I would wait until day 8 or 10. While I realize that those are approximations, I don't think anything is guaranteed.

All they will tell you is that turnarounds aren't guaranteed.

I get that in a way, but if you can't guarantee 5 business days (6 if you include the loggage day), but at the same time you are turning around larger orders of "lower priority", that is no excuse to not get these done on time, right?

I agree completely. But the excuse is, they don't try to do that way, and we have been complaining about it for years.

Go ahead and complain, they will call the G.O.D. (grader of death) and tell him to hurry up and come in on his day off so that he can grade your cards.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

My last 10 day turnaround order was finally graded after 24 days. PSA's math on turnaround times is fuzzier than Zach Galifianakis.

I would not raise a stink unless they were way overdue.

I would agree with all the above, however, the OP subbed 4 cards. That shouldnt take that long to get spec info on them. But for larger orders that is the case.

I sent in 4 large orders at the of March on a neg'd bulk rate. One with 500 cards popped 17 calendar days after log in. They were all a group of cards from different mainstream type sets. Another with cards from all over the 90's and 00's popped a few weeks later. One popped yesterday, still waiting on another. The ones that I have found take the longest are Tall Boys. I had a 28 card order that is still sitting there that was logged in with the afore mentioned subs. It always seems that it takes Tall Boys longer.

Kind of the root of my annoyance - 4 cards, all modern and all regular - not a curveball in the batch. No valid reason this should go beyond the "estimated" time frame. The 10 day/20 card order that popped before mine even had 2 of the same cards. You should get what you pay for within reason - if I had dropped 1,000 (or even 50) oddballs off that would be different.

no rhyme or reason to what they do, they just do.

considering some of the horror stories i've read about here lately, i'd be gratified to know that if they really needed more than the guaranteed time expected, it means they are making absolutely sure of their accuracy, quality control and trying their darndest to make you completely satisfied with your submission.

i also believe in the Easter Bunny, The Loch Ness Monster & d.b. Cooper, but I'm working that out with my therapist.

I'm on day 40 of a 480 card bulk sub and also day 9 of a 7 day sub that had 6 cards. I mailed out a package with 5 day and 10 day orders in it. Maybe they'll all pop on the same day? image

480 cards - think that will take you the distance. I got mine on day 6 or 7 - forget which. And where do you get a 7 day sub? I assume 5 plus the weekend?

The 7 day sub was the membership renewal voucher at the "Collectors Club" level.

The 411 card sub that was logged in at the same time as the 480 card sub popped on May 5th. That one was all modern while the current bulk sub is a mixed lot of a little of everything. I expected it would take longer than the other part. image
