NP2- trying to figure these out

I see the offers to buy these coins for $350ish/ea. They are $279 from the US Mint website. Why dont folks buy them direct? If everyone wants 1 for themselves, why doesnt everyone just buy the coins from the mint? Is it the same coin? I'm confused.

these are limited mintage. some folks didn't place their order in time from the Mint so they have to buy them on the secondary market if they really want one. capitalism at it's finest.

that makes sense, but, it doesn't look like they are sold out. thats where the confusion lies, for me.

  • There still available at the mint and should be for the next week or so...

    ATB 5oz Mint Page...

Some reasons I can think of...

Some want more then one and do not have a network...

    Some want them graded already...

Some do not like ordering from the Mint...

Some like to pay more but they get to see the coin first...

    JMHO...

Dealers who want to have them graded and are trying for the 70 score can only get a few without offering to buy them from the general public. This is due to the one per household limit set by the mint.
