  There are a few MPLs in that auction that merit a bit more attention. That said, the lure of a proof VDB is compelling.

  Doesn't look too bad based on those photos... maybe it's just me, but it seems like Bowers' photos have improved significantly in the past year!

  Thanks for the link to the pic... I was expecting a wider flat rim edge... based on later matte proofs, very educational.
