More Franklin Mint on the March! 1984 Trinidad $200 Goes High!

Wow, the 1984 $200 gold (with precious little of that in the actual coin) just closed at $1125 on the 'bay.

    I suspect the overall population of the early dates in 64 and higher is quite low

    watch the Singapore silver coins minted by the Franklin mint- a truly iconic Dollar design and probably 1/3 of the surviving proofs have been melted-

    They are coinkat, the 1912 in 64 was one I had bought just a couple of years ago for $135, it felt good to sell that one even though it was pretty, it's a pop 6/0 coin at NGC.

    Whereas the 1925, 1929 and 1930 are higher- significantly higher

    To the post: there seems to be a buoyant market in these later date (1981-1984) Trinidad coins: all the specimen, proof base and silver, gold seem to do well with multiple bidders and virtually all going for multiples of issue price.
