It's Saint Paddy's Day, and nary an Irish coin thread in sight?

There's one on the Liteside! (Check out that 6d that crazyhounddog posted- yowza!)

Tsk, tsk. We shall have to remedy this oversight.

Here's my old favorite again. I hope y'all don't get tired of seeing it, 'cause I'll never tire of posting it.

Wouldn't the above be considered British occupation money?

Here's one from the Irish Republic:

Yesterday, I gave away two Irish 3p coins at the local club meeting as raffle prizes. The obverse depicts a rabbit.

One of the winners goes by the nickname "Bunny." Imagine that, a woman named Bunny wins a rabbit coin in a raffle during her first visit to the coin club.

    Technically, yes, I suppose.

Technically, the harp is considered the obverse on all post-1928 Irish coins that feature it. The critters are the reverse.

That's pretty cool. Sounds like destiny to me. image
