So Am I Covered by PayPal SNAD for Flowers?

Morning,

Just ordered Roses/Flowers for Valentines, through Telaflora and noticed in the fine print just before the last page of checkout, "We reserve the right to substitue your item with an equal or higher dollar item if we sell all of the item you ordered"
So I paid with Paypal, if the Wife doesn't get what I ordered can I file a SNAD claim?

    Why, you agreed to the terms they gave you just before checking out?

    I was thinking this exact same thing when ordering flowers this week. I had the option to pay with a credit card or checkout with paypal and I chose paypal just in case.

    To the post about "agreeing to terms before purchase" I don't know if this would apply -- couldn't we then add a disclaimer to all eBay descriptions?

    Telaflora will ship to the address listed with Paypal so if you accidentally selected your girlfriend's address you can't file a SNAD.

    Such disclaimers are meaningless on any venue,
    when PP is in the mix.

    PP SNADs can now be filed by buyers on ANY venue;
    even the BST boards.

    ................

    Sellers using the PP "virtual terminal" are a little better
    protected against PP's ridiculous SNAD policies, but not
    much better.

    As funny as this is, I am actually a 20 year veteran of the flower business. Teleflora will refund your money or replace the arrangment if you are not satisfied with it for any reason. The flower business if funny in that we get claims all the time that arent true from consumers, retailers and wholesalers. Want some extra profit....just say that your shipment arrived dead.

    Anyway I know this was a bit of a joke but any florist will issue a refund/replacement at any time and yes...there are floral message boards full of retail florists compaining about unjust refunds they have to give.

    What the flower companies need to do then is send a letter to the flower recipient apologizing with the details of the claimed issue and stating how a full refund was issued. Many recipients will be confused because there was no issue and figure out that the sender of the flowers is a cheap POS who sent them scammed free flowers.
