Help with the Photo thing Please!!

Morning,
So I've moved partway into the 21st century, I opened a Photo Bucket Account, uploaded some photos to it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get them from my Photo bucket to a thead here.

Help!

Please!

    Hi Neil

Just click on the pic - it will enlarge.

Then RIGHT click on the pic - my mac has "copy image" or "copy address" - if you don't have Mac - after right clicking - go to "PROPERTIES" and "COPY" the URL address.

Then when you post - "PASTE" the URL address into the icon with the frame under "Message Text" and press OK.

  • Thanks Stone,

But I am having problems, I am doing everything you say and it is copying it, but when I right click on the post attachment in my message in the thread, it doesn't let you paste, all of the copy/paste/ect are not highlighted!

    I'm confused.

    Thanks

At photobucket make sure you copy the entire url. It will say 'copied'

Then come here and simply paste it like Mike mentioned or directly into the message box.
    Good for you.
  • Below your pic in Photobucket there are 4 different line of code. The bottom one is IMG. Click on that to copy and then paste that entire text into your message.
The best pitch to start a hitter off with is always strike one.

Yup IMG code is the one.

    Good for you.
  • I am trying exactly what you are all telling me, I click on the URL or the bottom one of the 4 and it says copied, but then when I go to the attachment in the message and right click to paste it the copy/paste/ect is not capable of being clicked on as it is not highlighted.

  • Just paste that directly into your message as if you were typing. No need to do anything else.

  • It won't let me paste because the paste icon in the little window has to be lit (highlighted), none of them are highlighted, not undo, cut, copy, paste, or delete, so I can'y click on them.

When you copy the URL - can you paste it directly to the message text?

If so - just type (IMG) and (/IMG) around the URL and it will post without using a button but use these: [ ] instead of these ( ) - I used ( ) because you can't type them with [ ] and have it show up. It thinks there's an image to show.

If you can't do a simple copy/paste - it must be your browser?

try highlighting the text (not just clicking it so it says copied) , then copy, then paste

Aha....He slaps himself in the forehead!!!

Thanks Mike, that's what I needed to do, post directly in the body of the message, not the attachment box.

Check out my 1951 Magic Football thread on the BST, I just posted my first phots ever!!

    Thanks
