Mid to late 80's cards

Guys,
I know this was the era of the mass produced cards.
I have about 1000 cards. Just wondering if you guys have a quick list of what I should look for in the boxes, I haven't looked through them in a while.
Thanks

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I know they aren't worth much just wondering if I have anything that I should pull out.
maybe an error card or two. Who were the Rookies of that era. Strawberry/Mattingly/gooden etc.
Help please
Puckett, Clemens, Mcgwire
Bonds, Canseco,Mcgriff, Maddux
Glavine,Alomar,Sheffield,
Randy Johnson, Griffey Jr,
Maybe some others.
Almost nothing worth anything.
I have at least 40,000 cards from the 80's and maybe 15 are worth relly anything. Here are a few strong raw cards and obvioulsy better graded.
1) Ken Griffey Jr. 89 Bowman Tiffany
2) Ken Griffey Jr. 89 Fleer Glossy blue back
3) Mark McGwire 85 Topps Tiffany
4) Cal Ripken 82 Topps Traded
5) Roger Clemens 84 Fleer Update
6) Kirby Puckett 84 Fleer Update
7) Barry Bonds 86 Topps Traded Tiffany
8) Roger Clemens 85 Topps Tiffany
9) Don Mattingly 84 Topps Tiffany
10) Dwight Gooden 84 Fleer Update
11) Don Mattingly 84 Donruss
12) Rickey Henderson 80 Topps (by far the most valuable graded!!!)
13) Cal Ripken 82 Topps
14) Ken Griffy Jr. 89 Upper Deck
15) Barry Bonds/ Johnny Ray Error Card from 87 Donruss Opening Day/ very expensive in high grade
Here is a list of some of the best one's that exist. Many others are unfortunately less valuable then your Charmin Ultra Toilet Paper.
Hope this helps
Here's a small list of rookie cards that are still worth more than a buck.
Rookie Cards
1985: McGwire, Clemens, Puckett
1986: Canseco, McGriff, Bonds
1987: Bonds, Maddux, Larkin
1988 Alomar, Biggio
1989: Griffey, Randy Johnson
If you're looking for the "pay for my college education" card, forget it. None of these cards, by themselves, will even get you a dinner for 2 at the local IHOP.
Once you get into grading, then the market is ultra volatile, with cards values being dependent exclusively on graded population and limited demand.
Edit to add: regardless of their low value, I still LOVE late 80s/early 90s stuff. Lots of great memories come flooding back when I look at that stuff. You can't put a $ figure on that.

I knew there was nothing in there worth anything. Just wanted to see who to look for when I go through them.
Thanks again
so perhaps you could look for those? They may not be worth much but
it's a fun read.
Hopefully someone can link you to the site.

In the search tab above simply write in 'variations'
A bunch of his threads are there.
Keep in mind that if the cards are not in MINT condition, no one is interested. It sounds like they are in a box. Are they protected in card savers, sleeves, etc?
The cards are not rare, but their condition can make them rare.
A Mattingly 1984 Donruss in PSA 9 is a great card and worth about $45 in this economy. If its something you pull out of a box of cards without it being protected, chances are it might get a PSA 8 on a good day worth about $15. If its raw, then several dollars lower. See what I mean?
