George Bush Decision Points autograph

I enjoyed reading where Mike Navarro and a few others had met President Bush at a book signing and it got me to wondering if He would make an appearance in the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin area where I live and work. I went to the publishers website and didnt find any scheduled dates in my area but I did see an offer from the publisher to get a free autographed bookplate so it can be attached to the book, Decision Points as an alternative to meeting him at a book signing. I was skeptical but still sent off a request and actually forgot about it. I got the mail yesterday and this is what I received:

I also received this card with the autograph (I Scanned the back of the auto too!)

I was just curious if others have sent away for this and was also hoping for opinions as to authenticity. Autopen? I assume it probably is but if others have sent away for this auto I would love to compare!

I am on a budget and I am not afraid to use it!!

These are real. I have one and it is different than what you have posted. I have seen just the plate w/no book sell for 150 bucks on ebay. Crazy stuff.

Looks good to me too. I sent off for one of those as well so hopefully mine will come any day now. I did notice they took the address down off the website a couple weeks ago so I bet they were inundated with requests.

How big is it? Is it the size of an index card or bigger?

I got mine on Saturday and it looks a bit different as well (as in NOT an autopen), so that's great to see! Thanks for posting...

Can someone give me the address to get one of these please. I'd love to have his autograph

I'm not saying it is or isn't autopen, I have no idea...but they can program dozens of sigs so that the autopen sig can look different many times.

That figures. That is my luck. I thought about sending off for one of those back a few weeks ago. However, I thought it was a waste of time because I just KNEW it was an autopen.

Its good to hear that the possibility that these are not autopenned are much greater than I anticipated

To answer the question about size...I dont have it with me here at work but I would say the actual card that is signed is about 5 inches by 5 inches, something along those lines. As to the address, I noticed that they removed the address from the website as I think these are no longer available.

No need to flame, Ross. To each his own. To one man it's a treasure, to another, not worth more than a nickel or a penny.

I'm sure you'll be able to pick one up at some point in the future.

I sent off for one around the same time as everyone else - and have not gotten one back yet. Are people still getting them in the mail or is it pretty much over if I haven't already received it?

seems like I'm late to the party which is odd because I mailed my request off the same day that someone posted something about it.

I'm very pleased to receive it!
