'77 and '80 Topps Baseball Vending Box Rip

Got these yesterday from BBCE and ripped them last night. The '77 box was the best and I got 16 cards that I'll be submitting, a few stars and some low pop commons that have shots at 10's. I didn't get a Dawson, Murphy, or Sutter. The '80 box had terrible top to bottom centering on the whole. Is this common for the '80 set? I did get 2 Henderson's. The one with good centering has a small indentation. Any idea as to what it will grade? I was thinking 8. I only got 3 cards that have shots at 10 that I'll be subbing including the Reggie. I should be getting my 2 boxes of '78 Basketball sometime today.

hope you got some nice cards to play with......i bought two '77 vending boxes from Steve early last year, glad i did....the first box was loaded with off-centers, miscuts and sadness, but the 2nd one was filled with dynamite.

<< <i>Love those 77s. Are you planning to sell the remnants of your 77 box that are ungradeable? >>
sure, along with the Ryan I pulled B.Robinson, Rice, Jackson, Fingers, Gossage, Martinez RC, Eckersley, Hunter, Perez, Yount, Carlton, Stargell, McCovey, Sutton, Fidrych RC, Niekro, Palmer, Jenkins, and Seaver. Send me a pm and let me know what you were thinking. There are a lot of them that will pull 9's that I didn't even pull out to sub I'm sure.
Those days were great. We used to walk down to the local deli/bar with our allowance & buy as many cards as we could. I loved the 3 pack rack packs that you could see the cards in. We used to fight over those....Sit on the stoop behind the store & open them up. Great memories of a great childhood collecting. Only bad part is that the era that I collected was the ever popular & mass produced 80's thrugh 90's. I did build a nice Mattingly collection though.
I really like reading all the posts & thinking back to those days, I have a 9 Year old son who is just starting to get into cards.
