Where is Laurent? Where is Lord M? The temp is in the 40's where I live so everyone around here should be inside-playing with there coins and reading this forumn. I'm here! Where is everyone else? Oh. By the way-enter me in your giveaway also. Olmanjon
Okay. When I get back from my vacation/ministry opportunities (South America, a ver la familia de mi esposa), it will be time for me to do my first giveaway. I already have an idea of how to structure it. It will take place in January so, I hope you all can last that long. Heck, you've been putting up with me for the last year and 9 months so be patient for my JANUARY GIVEAWAY! Stay tuned!
I hear you..... I agree with olmanjon - its coin time. The weather outside it cold and rainy in this part of the world so its time to do some trading/sellling/buying.

Eric, you're doing the right thing at your age. Just make sure to keep one or two mementos, from coins you like too much, or from members' gifts, that will lure you back just before you hit middle age. That's the way it goes, and when you come back, hopefully, some of us will still be breathing.
I wain interests in one area of numismatics - lately ancients and USA stuff, and move on to some other to start madly accumulating items like there will be no tomorrow. I never lose interests in numismatics - just vary them.

I know many still lurk, just don't post much. Times are tough and things to do. If I really don't have anything constuctive, in my opinion, to add I don't post. Although, it's been years since we've had a good thread hi-jacking . . .

Anyone having nice weather? Supposed to be in the high 50s today and 60s tomorrow, both days with sun. Pretty nice for Nov 11th in Western NY. Probably will put up the Christmas light up today. I'm sick of putting the damn things up when it's snowing and my fingers are freezing.

We saw Bill Nye the other night. He gave a talk at Buffalo State. Great speaker and thinker. If you ever get the chance to see him, I recommend you do so. It was only $8/ticket, the best deal ever.

Ajaan - gorgeous day in WNY. I decided to play hooky from work at lunchtime and took the dog out into the woods this afternoon. Scared up a 6 point buck and doe. I haven't worked on the collection in a while - my kids are teenagers now and money is going to guitar lessons, field trips, etc. Haven't posted to the forum in quite a while. When the old computer blew up I lost all the old bookmarks and my whole internet browsing routine.
It's come to chatting about the weather on here. I can say the weather here in Piedmont NC has been awesome. The best real fall weather we have had in years. The campground took in nearly $10,000 in Oct so we have been very busy.( haganstonepark.com). The band only has one more show booked this year, also been very busy, and i'm looking forward to the holidays off. I have been lurking weekly or so and getting jabs in at ajaan as often as possible. Miss all you guys and sorry to here about the members we have lost this year. If you are ever in the area look me up at the park.

I live in the country, so I let Mother Nature do her own raking.

As for raking, that was another nice trade I made when moving to CO. In MN, the leaves get almost as deep as the snow.
