I've sold 3 '67 sets, 2 of which were better than that one. I got mid to high 4's for those and made good money. The buyers were also extremely satisfied. I have a feeling this buyer isn't going to be.

i was checking out the photo sequence for this auction, when suddenly, i was temporarily blinded and brainfarked by the Tom Seaver Death Ray of Light and i almost tried to bid!
hey may have indeed purchased PSA graded cards, but he's clearly passing off lower graded replacements with those old stickers. Nice marketing jobs, someone def. got suckered.

I bought a large collection a couple of years ago where the guy bought graded cards if he couldn't find suitable raw cards and cracked them out. I had three full vault boxes of cracked PSA slabs with the flips. Most cards I felt worth regrading got the same grade, a few higher and a few lower. Cards that were cracked out included PSA 7 & 8 1952 Topps high numbers, etc, as well as lower priced commons.
I have sold a number of cards at shows where I cracked the card out for the customer after they purchased it.
I met a customer last week who usually has one to five cards he bought graded and has me crack for him. The last batch had a PSA 8 1961 high number.
I know on this message board it doesn't make sense but the vast majority of collectors do not want graded cards. They want cards they can put in an album or card holder as it was tradition before PSA/SGC existed.
With that being said I would not buy a set off EBAY where I take the word of someone I don't know. But I know for fact there are numerous collections where PSA 7, PSA 8, etc was cracked out and placed into albums. Most of the time it was done due to the fact the collector couldn't find a raw example that met his satisfaction, but yet wants nice cards.
Yea, some people just like their cards raw. Here's a link to a thread on the net54 board where the vast majority of respondents tell the OP to crack his cards out of the slabs.
Well, it's somewhat more comprehensible to take low grade cards out of their slabs, but I don't care what anyone else says, cracking out a high grade card is
