Collecting 1965 and 1966 Topps
My first post. I am building some Topps sets from the 1960s and 1970s.
Looking for 1966 high numbers 526 and 544
Looking for 1965 number 477 Carlton Rookie
Condition could be Excellent +/-
Will buy or I have some nice cards to trade which include a high grade SP 1966 Choo Choo Coleman, some 1962s
My ebay ID is flipnwin, I have a 100% rating buying and selling on ebay. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

(welcome, and good luck!)
There are a couple forums here for buying, selling, and trading. Good idea to post there if you have not already.

Those are my 2 favorite sets. I built a 65 set in 7, mainly 8 and about 60 9's, retired it and sold it off.
I built a 66 set raw which I still have.
Guy named Frank (Theczar) is the expert in this set.
Hopefully he will chime in.
I have some 66's but not sure if they are the high numbers.
Good luck and again, welcome to the boards.
Steve
I noted that there are several forums for chatting and then also ones for trading after I posted
Thanks for the info, I will look for Frank to connect to. These two years, maybe also 1964, were the height of my collecting days as a kid. I had so many cards and stored them in shoe boxes in my moms dress closet. One day she needed more space and asked me to reduce the collection. I can still close my eyes and see myself getting into the elevator going down to the basement and putting them on a shelf, I couldn't bring myself to put them in a garbage can. flipnwin
Welcome!
Good luck in completing your sets.
Frank (Czar) will find you. --- Sonny
We must be close to the same age as my childhood collecting began in '62 and went through '69. I've got complete raw '62, '63 and '68 sets and good starts on the '64, '65 and '66 sets. I'll go dig out my box of '66s and see if I have the two high numbers you need. It's a long shot, but I haven't enjoyed those cards for a number of years, so it'll be fun checking them out again...
My earliest cards are from 1961 but i started collecting, or flipping for cards on the streets, in a big way in 1962, I was 7. My goal is to have complete Topps base sets from 1963 on.
I need a few cards from 65, 66, and 1970, then i have to set a new goal

What condition are your '60s raw cards in? I have a few '61s acquired in trades with neighborhood friends, a lot of '62s thru '64s and '68s. Then I have starts on the '65 thru '67 and '69 sets. My cards in the early '60s are "well used" and the later years are in much nicer condition.
Maybe we could swap want lists? I used to have some typed up someplace here...
lmk!
Thanks,
My want list is short, I only need a few at this point but have some fillers to improve on at a later date, the condition of my sets is Ex +/-
Besides the 1965 and 1966 cards, I need a few from 1970
#9, #660, #698, #700, #712, and #713
If you have large want lists PM them to me, I still have to figure out how to send PM's but I can open them

If you want to send a PM to someone simply click on the icon that looks like a lock (next to the typewriter)
A box will appear. Simply click 'send' after you have sent the text.
Some have them off and thus no lock icon.......
