2010 Allen & Ginter Sig Hansen redemption question...

Hey guys I was hoping you could help me out here. I bought some packs of the Allen and Ginter cards during the Strasburg craze and pulled a Sig Hansen relic redemption card. I went ahead and scratched the back off and submitted the numbers to Topps.com to receive the card.
I just got in the mail a letter from Topps indicating they could not obtain the exact card from my original redemption due to circumstances beyone their control so they gave me the auto version of him instead and indicated this card was equal value to the other one.
Is this normal and has anyone else had this happen?
Thanks

My Registry Sets
I looked under the auto version listing and there is no price do to rarity it says. I don't collect modern cards I just bought some lottery tickets when these first launched to try and get the mini Strasburg.
Has anyone seen an auto sell on EBAY?
put a $500 BIN/BO on it and take the money and run
Just listed it, I will keep you posted on how it does.
There's gonna be a bunch of them in the next few days showing up same way you got your
the word was out a few weeks ago that the relics were switched to autos.
Lots of people just waiting for their mail to show up.
I'd jump on a quick BIN/BO and dump it quick before ebay gets over saturated
10 days from now, most will have already been sold
It seems to me that a Buy It Now is more of a planned purchase where an auction gets emotional and people get competitive and end up spending more then they really set out to many times.
I am just thrilled I will recoup some of my funds from that day. I ended up spending $160 or so on packs of this and Bowman and have litteraly no interest in modern anything. I consider this a gift!
Good luck with your auction, dpeck. I hope you make a very nice profit.

My pics are never very good, check out a few of the Hogan pics for proof of that
So far my closing prices have been good but I have only sold maybe 15 things.
I have already had 30 auction views so it is either traffic from this site (some of course) or this is a hot item. Only time will tell.
Thanks for the feedback guys.

man I have never had any item with 127 auction views in two hours!!
this crazy and is going to go for a nice amount I can tell already
<< <i>And there is now another listed, soon to be many more. I think you blew it. >>
I hope your auction goes well, buuut these guys here know their stuff and I think you may have missed it too.
2 auctions ending in 3 days and 1 BIN (unredeemed) for 200 B/O and hasn't sold yet.
There will be some 1 day auctions showing up with more in hand BIN's
Still a very nice pull.
Joe
The current bid is more then I thought I would originally get back for the card I thought I was getting so where ever it sells I win and so does the other person who buys it.
I am hoping that all of the lookers will check out my other auctions and that may help with there price levels too.
We have a few more days to see how it plays out.
<< <i>I have 30 people watching the card.... >>
23 actually. 7 of those watchers are me

My Ebay Auctions
The number is up to 33.
The other auction is now bidding $46 too so there is more then one real buyer.
My auction has been viewed 302 times. It would seem to me that a low opening bid and a true auction catches the most eye balls.
Only time will tell how this plays out.
<< <i>The $200 Buy It now has had 36 views, the $199 opening bid has had 58, and the other auction at $46 has had 23.

That's not the really the debate. Views don't automatically equal bids. Yours was linked on another site and this one, resulting in more views.
You had the opportunity to have the first and only one at all on Ebay for a short period of time. You may or may not have been able capitalize on that fact. We'll never know now. Would have been worth the try IMO. Could have always changed it when the others showed up.
I'm sure you'll do well regardless but with another having a BIN of $200 up there, it shouldn't exceed that. People aren't gonna hit that one now until they see how the 2 auctions play out. Kind of a catch-22 for all involved at this point.
The auction with an opening bid of $199 is a waste of space with 2 real auctions a BIN at the same price going on at the same time. If someone's willing to bid $199 or more on an auction, why the hell wouldn't you just buy one that's guaranteed to be yours for a dollar more
Either way, good luck with yours
It is not known what the price this card will trade for is, not just becuase each transaction is different, but because there has never been a closed sale.
Thanks again for your input and hopefully this auction turns out well for me.
I think the fact that not many more have come on EBAY is helping. The bid is up to $91. Works for me.
