Mystery coin: France 1858 5 Franc ESSAI

It's not listed in my Krause (4th edition); anyone see it in their Krause?

Appears to be made of bronze and is slightly smaller than a US quarter.

<< <i>"ESSAI" is a clue that it is not a regular coin. 5 Franc pieces of that era were silver and silver dollar size. >>
Yes, the ESSAI coins are patterns, but in Krause there is a listing at the back of the French coins first for ESSAIs and then for Piedforts. In that area, in my 4th edition, there are coins similar to mine, but not the same. So did they accidentally miss it or is this coin unknown to them?

5 Francs were worth 96.5 cents at that time. 5 Franc gold coins were current and would be slightly lighter than a U S gold dollar.
