I must have missed what Favre said.

I am, however, hearing what a lot of talking heads are reporting...but it's tough for me to gauge Favre's sincerity about what idiots like Kevin Seifert are reporting.

This is typical of what happens every year. Some "unnamed source" reports something about Favre and then all of the nimrods on the blogosphere as if rehearsing the latest episode of glee all say in unison, "Favre is waffling again! Why can't he just make up his mind??"

Favre hasn't even spoken officially. If & when he does, it'll be a lot easier to gauge his sincerity.

Until then, it's all baseless speculation.

I'm setting the odds at 5-2 that I dry dock the executive washroom before I leave work today.

For a real treat , pull up the you tube video of "Hitler and Farve ". Funny as krap.

  • To get me to even think about putting money on "Brett Favre will not play a game in the NFL during the 2010-2011 season", you would have to offer me about 8-1 odds.
That's not because I know anything about his health or his desire to play, it's just because the man simply will not EVER f***ing go away.

I was actually once naive enough to think the Clemens "will he or won't he- and if he does, when will he?" saga every year was the most annoying sports topic in the world. This is 10,000,000,000,000,000 worse than the Clemens thing ever was.

why the f*** should he? He just played arguably the best season of his career.

Never said he wasn't still a capable QB. But the unavoidable daily "Ooooh, is he coming back??" updates every summer for the umpteenth year in a row are, to say the least, getting a touch old.

I do not blame Favre personally for jamming Brett Favre news down my throat non-stop every summer, and I did not mean for my comments to imply that I did.

But I am deathly, claw-my-own-eyes-out tired of hearing about him- and the only option I've got to alleviate that is to never listen to sports radio, sports news, or the regular news. (And it may soon come to that.)

I have no problem with Favre waffling back and forth, after all it's his career and it's his decision to continue playing or not, but these 11th hour announcements aren't really fair to the coaching staff or his teammates.
