How many resubmissions have had the grade go lower?

I was curious, how many of the cards you sent in to get bumped up actually went down a grade or half-grade?

  • I had a 1979 Topps Wayne Gretzky rookie card that was a PSA Mint 9. I cracked it out because i thought it had a great chance at a PSA 10. I sent it in with my free submission for rejoining and it came back a PSA 8... I waited till the National at Cleveland a few years ago and cracked it again, submitted it at the show and it got a PSA Mint 9 grade again. Lesson learned!

None for me as I've never cracked and resubmitted, but that is an expensive card to take a chance on. Congrats on getting the Gretzky back to a PSA 9.
