How tough are 1969 Topps footballl in PSA 9?

A local dealer has a few 1969 Topps football stars in PSA 9 - Butkus, Sayers, Namath, Griese, and few minor stars. Do these typically go for high SMR? He has them a slightly above SMR.

  • Doesn't look like it, at least not this time of year:

    1969 recent ebay sales

Namath SMR $600, didn't sell for $500... Sayers SMR $750 (sold for $675). regular pop commons are going for 1/2 of SMR

now the catch is that some of the guys you named last time out sold well on the bay.... The Butkus last sold for $766 (SMR $350m Pop 8), Griese $550 (SMR $250, pop 13)

Thanks Reljac. Do you know what the pop is for the Namath? I'm surprised it didn't sell.

Those are tough cards in a psa 9, but they definately do not bring above SMR prices. Some commons are tough and would bring better prices. The Jim Cadile is one that comes to mind and the Piccolo would probably bring above psa 9 prices.

    T222's PSA 1 or better
