PSA/DNA Boo... part 2

Since Dboneesq posted his PSA/DNA gripes I thought I'd share this...

Both cards were subbed around the same time on the red flip special in June. 1 was subbed requesting a grade the other was subbed to just be slabbed authentic.

I really don't understand how PSA mess something like this up - don't they keep some kind of file of autographs they've just approved??? I'm starting to lose some faith in autograph authentication when things like this happen.

Until it happens repeatedly to you it's easy to look the other way... I guess at the end of the day all you are really doing is just paying for someone else's opinion and all we can do is trust that PSA hires the best opinion people in the business. It's still annoying when you know they got something dead wrong.

Honestly, I dont see how anyone, even the "experts", can tell whether an auto is authentic or not. During my days as a PBA bowler, I was asked numerous times for my autograph (At least until they realized I was a weekend hack to some extent), and I can almost guarantee that virtually every one of my autos were different, depending on how much of a hurry I was in, whether it was during our practice time, whether it was after bowling 20 games and my hand was so sore I couldnt even hold a pen right or even the size of the pen and what I was signing it on.

I just think its near impossible to tell whether any auto is a forgery or not becuase of the variations of sigs involved.

I'm not looking the other way. All we are doing is paying for someone's best guess. And sometimes you are paying for it two or three times on the same card. They have to be loving it.
