Lou: [answering the phone] Tire World.

Charlie: Lou, it's Charlie Donvan from Cleveland. How would you like to manage the Indians this year?

    Lou: Gee, I don't know...

Charlie: What do you mean, you don't know? This is your chance to manage in the big leagues.

Lou: Let me get back to you, will ya, Charlie? I got a guy on the other line asking about some white walls.

When Dorn missed that grounder and Coach Brown told him to cut out that "Ole Bulls***" was always a favorite of me and my buddies. We used that quote during many practices after the movie came out.

  • Looks like Lou is sending some mojo the Tribe's way...they're (I believe) 7-1 now since his passing against some pretty good competition (DET, MIN & TB). image

    A few of my favorites

Rube Baker: Wow, Willie's really got some power.
Lou Brown: Off a guy who'll be bagging groceries in a couple of weeks!

Valet: Mr. Vaughn, I thought you were starting tonight.
    Rick Vaughn: I did.
Valet: Oh, sorry. I didn't tune in until the 2nd inning.

after giving up a long home run
Rick Vaughn: Oh, yeah? Name one park in America that ball wouldn't have gone out of.
    Nikki Reese: Yellowstone.

Off-topic, but does anyone remember the card dealer named Lou Brown? He used to place ads in SCD, and he always had a picture of his dog Sam in his ad.
