Dustin Nippert just got very lucky...

Watching the Rangers game and Dustin Nippert just got very lucky. Make sure you watch Sportscenter later, you'll see it. He's lucky to still be alive after catching a line drive straight to the head. Scary stuff.

Ball bounced off what appeared to be the side of his head and went to the outfield in the air over third base for a double. Wow!!!

I missed it live, but sounds like he's going to be ok. He and his wife are friends of ours and she said that he is going to get checked out, but doesn't think it is serious.

Glad he got turned just enough.

Yikes! Gave me a flash back to last season when Giants pitcher Joe Martinez took a liner in the eye socket.

That's really a good thing. The last thing you want is for the ball to ricochet back towards home plate, because then you know that the pitcher got hit squarely.
