Heartbroken by failed Snipe!!!

I have been trying to win one of the three 1920 Babe Ruth 516 SGC authentic strip cards that house of cards has been selling. I was the underbidder on the previous two. One sold for $460 and the other was in the $300's. Well I was desperate to win the last one they listed (even called the store the first day it was listed and offered $500 on the spot! Well I set my snipe at $551 and was ready! Celebrated when it ended at $317. Look at my message:

Your bid was not placed because your auction username or password was incorrect.
Earlier this week eBay flagged my account as being compromised and made me change my password. Well I never thought to update my password on my snipe program
Huge FAIL! Sooo angry.

Actually, I guess this one is 1921 instead of 1920.

I changed my PW and forgot - and lost an item I really wanted a few years ago - it was a movie poster.
I hope another comes real soon and for LESS money!
I had been looking for a 1989 Topps Heads Up Ozzie Smith for about 5 years. Found one on Ebay a year or 2 ago and got outbid at the last second (and I bid really high - over $100). Then, just a few months ago, I found a seller that had several of the 1989 Topps Heads Up and the "But It Nows" were very reasonable (low actually), but I didn't see an Ozzie Smith. To my horror, I looked in the completed items and sure enough, one had just sold about 2 hours earlier for $35.
However, I was able to track down the buyer and after a bunch of negotiating, we came to an agreement. I now have it.
Keep your head up and keep looking. You'll track one down eventually.
Thread about it

I guess the search will continue but this was a bummer. The card shop told me when I called that if only I had called after I lost the first one they would have happily sold me one of the other two. I never thought they would have duplicates! Lesson learned that a phone call never hurts just incase the seller has an extra.
It was a funny scene last night because my 8 & 9 year old boys were at the computer last night and were chanting the countdown 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, etc.
My wife thinks we are crazy but in a good way!
