I have never had a problem with them. What sort of complaints have you seen or heard?

I've heard people complain about there other ebay handle NESC.

I don't suppose it's THIS ONE is it? I haven't seen that card pop up on ebay since forever. It used to be a Pop 7... now all of the sudden it's a Pop 9!! There have been a total of 596 graded so far. Where is the other one? There is a GREAT chance it sells this time around... trust me. Even for $499... do you know how much product you would have to bust through to pull a gem like that? About $499 times ten... it's popcorn girl time, because I'll be watching this auction from the cheap seats.

I don't buy from them anymore -- but don't let that get in the way. Buy the card!

I have read several of their negative comments....and read some threads where people were not happy with the service or the cards. No...it's NOT the Ripken(although that is a REALLY nice looking 1985!) Thanks for all of the responses, I really appreciate it! image

I've never had a problem with them, always really fast shipping, and great deals to be had if you have the patience to wait out some of their high starting bids. Sure they will have a problem here and there sometimes, but when you deal in tens of thousands of auctions per month, it's bound to happen. I've never purchased a card from them that wasn't worthy of it's grade.

No problems with them whatsoever. You should do just fine if you win it!

Bid on the card. You'll get it soon, you'll have a good, clear scan to upload if you want to put it in the registry and it will be well packaged.

Any high-volume successful business, regardless of what they sell, is never going to do it right 100% of the time. If you look hard enough (and you usually don't have to look that hard) you can find something negative about any business out there, simply because it's our nature to complain long & loud when our end of the deal didn't go the way we wanted it to. This board is a prime example of that - how many sellers get dragged through the mud here? There are multiple complaint threads on a daily basis. However, when things go right, we rarely see someone go out of their way to make sure folks hear about it. Today there was actually an example of that - Mike (zep33) started a thread about a good eBay situation, and that thread got all of TWO replies. In my business, we very very rarely have a customer call to tell management that one of our employees did something right, even though we do it right the overwhelming percentage of the time. We sure get a phone call or a visit the first time a customer perceives they were slighted in any way, though. Often it's our fault, but some folks are pickiest, most easily butt-hurt SOBs in the world - we've all met 'em.

All that to say this: 4SC does it right an overwhelming percentage of the time. I've never had an issue with them, and I've purchased MANY times from them. Do they screw up? Yeah, of course. Chances are slim-to-none that you'll have a problem with them. Buy the card. If it goes south, you've got PayPal/credit card protection. No worries, mate.

I still have a few of those 4SC "mini" minis.

It's been a couple years, though, since that all went down. I'm sure they've since turned over a new leaf and retired the razor blade. image

    Well said.

If you buy the card, not the holder, at a price you're happy with, then there shouldn't be any problems with 4SC.

Buy it, then immediately leave them a neutral because the price was too high

No problems here either. In the many of purchases I've made, 1 order was lost. They gave me the tracking number without hesitation. Lo and behold, my cards sat in Conn. for over a week. Ouch. But they have been very good to buy from.

Ever since I saw them listing the cards cut from the bottom panel of 1968 Bazooka Tips with just the card portion cut off (basically 20% of the card) in PSA8 holders I stopped looking at their auctions. PSA should know better as well.

I've only bought one card from them in my life, it went smooth and the card was as advertised.

With that said if you buy the card and not the holder from them, or anyone for that matter

    you should be ok.

The two complaints, as I recall, are overgraded material and lack of any communication. If you buy the card as said numerous times and don't need to contact them...then you should be fine. If there is a problem and you need to get a hold of them, they are not quick to respond if at all.

Yes, we all know they use alts to offload the stuff that didn't make the trip to PSA...but that shouldn't concern you here.

99% should be flawless transactions, so the odds are in your favor.

I have 50+ transactions with them and all have been perfect.

Thanks for all of the responses. The card I was considering has now gone WAY above what I am willing to pay for it, so I will not be winning this one...but I'm glad to hear all of the positives for this seller for future consideration.
