You mean like your Deputy Dog logo? My signature has my wantlist in it with 2 letters and a URL. Has no message on it advertising the site. It's neither linkable (you can't click on it to go to the site), nor does it say anything about joining the site. Can we say that about your signature?

I like the fact that people that start sites bring them here and show others about them.But the problem is that some people that do have sites don't seem to like it after a few post . Like what was going on last week .

So what is the big deal can't take the compition or they are just scared they won't have any members..............

the one about only wanting to trade with tr members really got to me and i had to bite my tongue to keep from saying something on that post, lol... least not make a post like that on CU

I like it too...aren't we all supposed to be united by this hobby? Shouldn't you want to see all the great sites out there that are for this hobby? I search on the search engines all the time to try and find sites. The descriptions there don't really help. When people bring the links here, most of the time they are pretty good sites. I guess some people care a little too much about their sites being at the top than the members of the site or the hobby. The members of SportsCardSheriff, (uh-oh, I'll probably get yelled at by someone saying that was lunch meat) myself included, bring our sites to other sites to help people out. I know there are people out there that have gotten out of the hobby and trading because they can't trust people. Thats why we are here, to give people a safe place to trade, with added features to help them enjoy it even more. Another thing I hate, but don't think I am complaining, is when people tell me not to post about Sports Card Sheriff because NOBODY here cares. Well you people who say that are wrong. I like to see all the sites, biggjc said he likes to see them, and I know there are others. If you don't want to expand you horizons within the sports card hobby then dont, but please don't ruin it for others.

And if users here don't want to see it, then so be it. You have to take in to consideration that most of the users here have been here a LONG time. They don't mind telling about your site, but if 80% of your posts are about your site, then people get P.O.'ed. When you see me or one of my mods advertise or a TR member advertise, they just post what's new on their site ONCE and that's it. We rarely even include the link. If people are interested, they will ask questions (what's the link, how can I join, etc.). Your signature should cover the rest. People will go and see just out of curiosity.

Yes I have said that...but I have also said that I changed my opinions.

About posting whats new....Sportscardsheriff is new...but we really didn't post about it that much here. It really seems like it though because whenever I post to something I get people who link it to spamming. The other day I posted that I was looking for other trading sites and people were saying I was spamming? Then I asked what CU does to punish people for being bad traders. I didn't get an answer, all I got was people saying it was a lame way to Spam about SCS, even though I didn't even mention it. I can't really say that you guys did the same things for you sites when they first came out because I wasn't at the message boards then, but I can say that I have seen some posts by CE and TR members that could be called spamming by what some people have said to me. You will also see that we only did it for a short time and then moved it to our signatures. Basically my point is this: We aren't out to make a profit with this site. It is a free service to anyone that wants to join (to a certain extent, bad traders are handled accordingly). So we post a link to the site. It takes up one spot on that post or board. Is it really that big of a deal? What about all these nonsense posts and threads? Would you really rather see someone's post about nonsense stuff, or would you like to see something useful like a trading site or a site to improve the hobby? I mean the people that are getting upset about us "spamming", have you even visited sportscardsheriff? Thats all for now.

Last time I checked, none of the people trying to control other people are moderators/administrators here. It is a pathetic attempt to be a demi-moderator. I say If you do not like it, move on. Advertising is going to be here whether you like it or not.

Auto, you never cease to amaze me. Advertising is advertising. Plain and simple. Trying to elevate yourself over us or any other site "because of this little difference in YOUR ADVERTISING or because of that little difference in YOUR ADVERTISING" is weak. Revisiting things like Cozzens99's change of opinion and trying to make something of it is weak. Like you never change your opinion...

Actually, CarolJ is/was about to assign a few users as mods to this forum. She may have. Dunno. But if they are... you'll know sooner or later. And who trying to elevate? So, you can keep TRYING to justify your SPAMMING any way you want, but it doesn't change a thing. It's acceptable to have your ads in your signature because that's basically what a signature is for. So, UTILIZE IT instead of all these multiple threads.

Auto! Get a grip. What threads? There has been no threads started in weeks that advertise our site! I never said you started this thread. But you never miss an opportunity to jump in. I have see you do it countless times. You did it to CTF, TR and SCS. It is so obvious to anyone with a reasoning mind that you and a few of your moderators are challenged by other sites. You exaggerate their "SPAMMING" and try to somehow make a big deal about it. It helps us get exposure and I thank you yet again for that. Many of my members will thank you as well for making it a well read thread...
