Strasburg eTopps Card Offered Till - 06/21/10 03:00 AM ET

Just before 1 PM Eastern time Monday, Topps released its initial public offering of Stephen Strasburg’s first eTopps Major League card.

Just 1,999 were made available at a price of $8 each. The offer is good through 06/21/10 03:00 AM ET, but the card is expected to sell out, so there is no
guarantee those who order will receive any of the cards they order. Orders will be taken through the initial player offering time frame and those who placed orders will be notified next week if they received any of the cards ordered.

Good luck! Typically with any of the hot cards put out at IPO... if you don't get your order in during the first hour or two, chances are you won't be allocated a card. Gotta love that they let it roll as available for a full week though!

for those of you who get shut out, I have a brick of 1991 Score Todd Van Poppell RCs I'd be willing to break up into 50 ct lots.

edited to correct the year of Todd "Cy Young" Van Poppell's RC. PM me about 1990 Score Ben McDonald RCs though.

Little different situation. If you are lucky enough to get any of the Strasburg eTopps cards, they will likely be selling in the $25+ range day one. Its almost like free money.

10 years from now, it might be equivelent.....but I live in the present.

Almost no chance you will get one if you are ordering now... unless etopps has made the fulfillment process random.

Others are right on if you are flipping this card right away you will probably stand to make $20 or more.

  • I'm 100% sure they'll limit the allocation to one per account. These will go for a nice premium from the IPO. They key here is if Topps decides to charge $200 to have him autograph them(eTopps autographs). You'll have to have this card in your portfolio in that case.
  • i bought 2 of these and so far they put the payment in limbo on my account, meaning they tagged my debit card but they havent charged or taken it from me as of yet, wonder if that means im gonna get both,, will let you know,, bj

The cards have already been allocated and have leveled off at about $45 on eBay.

    Not a bad flip.

  • Nevermind.

Stras is signing the Topps Million card, not etopps like I originally posted.

JFC $350 for the card to be autographed. You would hope Topps could get a pro-rated rate here.

That price is crazy... you know how many real HOF players auto's you could get for $350 - Strasburg looks great but he could turn into the next Mark Prior.
