2007 Donruss Elite Brandon Jackson autographed 8 x 10, any idea what it's worth??
This was my door prize today from my visit to Beckett Media in Dallas. A BGS slabbed 2007 Donruss Elite 8 x 10 autographed by Brandon Jackson. I can't post a picture until my wife gets home with the digital camera as it's too big to fit on my scanner in the slab. I know next to nothing about modern cards, so I wanted to see if anyone had some knowledge about these and if they have any value.
Thanks for your help,
Mike

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
He is still a backup and his auto RC's sell for very little. Most of them sell for $10 or less except the super high end stuff.

<< <i>Cool door prize. Is it numbered? How was the tour? Did they show you the room where they invent their pricing? >>
I don't think anyone is allowed to see the precogs.

Nope, it's not numbered. Beckett has nice facilities and I always enjoy my visits there. They usually treat guests quite well. Actually, yes, I did get to hear some about their pricing. I won't bore you with the details of how they used to get their pricing, but now, at least the public spiel is (or at least how I heard it) as follows:
1) They gather sales data from ebay and any other online sites they can find that show sales
1a) They get sales data from their online marketplace
2) There are still some "dealers" that send them written data of sales
3) They attend all the shows and conventions and get sales data through observation and interview
4) They get reports from people that call in and email reports on various cards
This comes from one of their employees employed in the baseball pricing division and one employed in the football pricing division.
I did get a couple other freebies as well, 2 copies of their 2009 Baseball Card Price Guide 31st edition, and my favorite freebie was I asked them if if they had any of their, "Ultimate Rooke Card Encyclopedia"'s left and could I purchase one (it's a pretty sweet reference book for the major sports rookie cards), and the person I asked wasn't familiar with the book. However, a little later during my visit, another employee came up to me and brought me a copy and I asked them "How much do I owe you?", and they said it was on them, thanks for coming.
I also got to spend some time with Jimmy Spence of JSA, and got to listen to him present for about 45 minutes on autographs including seeing the exemplar files for Tiger Woods. A very fun day for an autograph junkie like myself.
