Fake PSA 9 Bench Rookie on eBay

Bench
Description says he bought it at an estate sale. Probably a Craig's List fake. Based on the high feedback rating, I'll give the seller the benefit of the doubt for not knowing. But it's pretty obvious. Case and flip are both non PSA and the card itself looks fake.

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

<< <i>I have never seen a PSA case with rounded corners.....is that a telltale sign that the card is a fake, or are there legitimate holders with round corners? >>
Those cases look like the cases that thicker cards and/or wax packs come in.

no it doesnt. its just not a psa holder. there would be more depth to the picture not that flat. plus the corners of the inserts are not like that on the patch holders.

This is known as “bad luck.”

<< <i>I looked at the person's other auctions. All kinds of crap. Not really any cards. I doubt seriously that this is one of the people that goes about producing fake cards. If my mom were to find that Johnny Bench, she'd think she had the real thing and might put it on ebay just the same. I say give the person a chance before we condemn them. They might just not be aware. >>
I disagree that the seller is some unlucky guy that got stuck with the Bench. First he has over 10,000 feedback, so ebay is more than just a side hobby for him. Second the description is from somebody who knows about PSA graded cards. This isn't some old lady who happened to come across a PSA 9 Johnny Bench.
Also where are these estate sales that have graded mint cards for sale?
<< <i>usually you can go to any neighborhood garage sale and find PSA 9 baseball cards from the 50's and 60's >>
I knew I was looking in the wrong place. I tried the local card shops and only found raw cards in PSA 5 quality for PSA 9 prices.
